When Should I Pack My Hospital Bag?
How soon is too soon to start packing your hospital bag?
If you're already in your 3rd trimester... you should have your bag packed already!
Here's why it's important to tuck your hospital bag in the car for each doctor's appointment, along with some handy packing lists if you're just getting started.
It's called PEACE OF MIND.
Having that bag packed and in the trunk of your car is such a comfort.
No matter where you go, you'll have what you need...
just in case.
This is NOT to scare you. Early labors are NOT common, especially in first pregnancies.
However, you *could* be at a routine OB exam when the doctor decides to admit you for bedrest, or sees danger signs that mean an immediate C-section is nigh.
You just never know!
If you haven't settled on the perfect going-away outfit for baby, that's okay! Just tuck in the essential products YOU will need. Visitors can bring you anything else.
You're worried about packing your toothbrush already?
Buy an extra -- or better yet, a travel size package of luxury shampoo, lotion, toothpaste and new toothbrush. You'll be glad you did.

If you don't already have a diaper bag selected, this is a good excuse to buy one you love. Fill the diaper bag with baby's essentials, and use an airline-size carry on bag for Mom.
