DIY Tip: How To Create A Maternity Clothes Survival Kit

As you put on more weight with your pregnancy, you’re probably thinking that you need to buy maternity clothes. In reality, that may not be the case.

Instead, you can put together a "maternity clothes survival kit" that has clothes that both look good and make you feel great!

Here is what you need:

  • Spaghetti tanks in different colors
  • Jeans
  • Maternity pants (Okay one maternity clothes item!)
  • Stretch pantyhose (You know, the ones that will fit comfortably around your belly and aren’t too tight.)
  • Good fitting underwear (A must!)
  • Nice cotton tops that you can wear over the spaghetti tanks in complimenting colors

Some of my favorite things to write about are topics that have to do with living green, saving money, pregnancy, weddings, and dogs. When I'm not writing, I love to spend time with my husband, read, create 3D artwork and Native American beadwork.

tank tops with built in bras are not practical, as your chest will continue to change size and shape, the elastic can be really uncomfortable. i have also stopped wearing pants altogether, because i don’t want to spend the money on maternity clothing. i watched this to find out about saving money on clothes, not what to buy. there are other sites that show you how to make your own maternity clothing, and i would definitely suggest them over this video.

Women have different preferences when it comes to buying undergarments but we all look for comfort. I suggest those that give support in the abdomen and back area so there will be lesser pains while growing your belly. Borrowing maternity clothes isn’t so bad at all, especially if you’re the type who doesn’t have plans on investing on these types of apparels. Classic styles are always in, so a pair of maternity jeans is a good choice. Thanks for sharing the video, Regina.
