As birth approaches, excited anticipation coupled with unpleasant side effects presented by pregnancy make it a tense and frustrating time.

While a full term pregnancy comes at 40 weeks, it is considered perfectly safe for a baby to be born as early as 37 weeks.

Therefore, women who are particularly uncomfortable (perhaps due to backache, a lack of sleep, resurgent morning sickness, frequent urination, or shortness of breath) may wish to bring on labor using any natural means possible.

Most of us have heard that eating a hot curry or having sex will bring on labor. In reality, these aren’t guaranteed methods. In fact, none are — apart from induction via hormones provided through an intravenous drip. This is known as a ‘labor induction’ performed under professional medical supervision.

For women who have reached their 40th week of pregnancy and are feeling anxious to go into labor, a membrane sweep is sometimes offered. This involves stimulating the membranes of the cervix, and possibly breaking them free from around the baby which in turn stimulates the production of prostaglandins. These are substances similar to hormones and are found most abundantly in male semen.

There are a lot of myths surrounding acupressure during pregnancy. Here's what you need to know about acupressure during pregnancy and how to do it safely.

While these sites are helping women find ways of naturally inducing labor, they are rather irresponsibly ignoring some of the warnings they should issue about using acupressure during pregnancy.

Too often, advice is given from third parties that is not only wrong but may be dangerous.

Here are a few warnings before using acupressure during pregnancy and how to do it safely…

Trying to get pregnant, but finding it difficult? Between 40% and 50% of infertility cases are due to male infertility. Here's what you need to know.

<img align="right" width="300" height="207" alt="male-infertility-by-Nicholas-R-Horne.jpg" title="Male infertility is quite common.
Unfortunately, each year thousands of couples discover that they are, indeed, infertile.

The most common reaction that a couple has once they discover they are unable to conceive is to suspect that there is a problem with the woman.

Through studies and statistics, doctors have discovered that male infertility is as common as the fertility that is experienced by women. It’s estimated that hundreds of thousands of men are diagnosed with infertility problems each year.

Recent studies have shown that between 40% and 50% of infertility cases are due to male factor infertility. While there are a few male fertility problems that are visible, such as hypospadias, undescended testicles, and impotence, the majority of fertility issues in men are not obvious. Source

Male infertility is an emotional subject, but couples must be properly educated if they are planning a pregnancy.

There are multiple causes of male infertility, and in this article we will address some of those issues…

Giving birth is something that many women fear.

Most of us have heard horror stories and watched movies that portray childbirth as a horrible event.

While it’s true that some parts of childbirth can be intense and painful, there are other stages of the birthing process that are only mildly uncomfortable.

Eduction is the key. The more you understand about the process of labor and know what to expect, the less likely you are to fear it.

 Baby Clothing & Bedding

All clothing you look for should feel soft and comfortable for your newborn.

Look for clothing items that have wide or stretchy openings; avoid outfits with lots of buttons and closures, as these will just add to the time and trouble spent dressing your baby.

Make sure you have on hand several outfits that are 100% cotton, in case your baby is irritated by synthetic fabrics.

Stocking up on simple outfits means you will have less laundry to do in those first weeks of motherhood.

Make sure to have outfits in bigger sizes so you won’t run out of clothes as your baby grows.

Remember to buy special laundry detergent for baby clothing.

Here is a list of the basics you will need:

Read more: Pregnant?… Here’s Everything That You REALLY Need To Buy For Baby
